Graphic Designer

I began my career in the North East of England, working in various agencies and consultancies in Newcastle and Sunderland. After a number of years expanding my skillset working with small to medium sized businesses, I moved to Edinburgh in 1999 to eventually become Studio Manager at a leading identity firm. This senior role at a high-profile consultancy gave me the opportunity to work with some prestigious projects and clients such as the Scottish Executive, the NHS, and The Royal Bank of Scotland, to name a few. It also gave me the first insight into running my own design business.

My early training was in print design and working to corporate branding guidelines (including Shell, Marks and Spencer, Tesco), and I have progressed through the various disciplines of advertising, marketing, display and web media, giving me an all-round understanding of how the various facets fit together to make a successful identity. I now produce identity guidelines for the brands I create for my clients.

In 2006 I set up my own business initially working with larger agencies on big-brand projects (Subway, Coca Cola), before my client base became large enough to go it alone in early 2007.

Now as an established business and branding expert in my own right, I currently specialise in the area of identity and logo design, and all things related (such as Websites, Brochures, Marketing Materials and Stationery). My current client list is extensive, and approaching 1000 completed projects since 2007.

In 2009 I returned to my native Sunderland to enjoy life by the seaside with my family.
