Five years in business
A big thank you
In May 2006 I took the leap from my comfy post as a Studio Manager at a respected agency in Edinburgh, at the end of around 15 years in the industry, to set up my own modest studio and embrace the invigorating life of the self employed. There have been ups and downs, of that there can be no doubt, but not a day has passed that I’ve felt lacking challenge.
Looking back, I’m not sure I’d have taken the first step if I’d known the depth of the economic downturn that was about to come. But if I had not, I’d never have had the opportunity to expand my skills as much as I have, or get to work with people from all over the world on their projects. Many of whom were, like me, starting out on a new adventure.
I can’t begin to express how much I’ve learned over the past 5 years, or imagine what will come in the next 5, but I’d like to thank every person who has offered support, advice, and shown the faith in my ability to invest in me. I’ve seen many, many businesses thrive and it’s been an honour to play a part in your success.
Thank you, and here’s to another 5 years.
Jeff Gillan.
