What is a Logo?
Before you can buy a Logo Design, you should understand what it is and what purpose it serves.
Firstly, I’ll tell you what a logo isn’t: it’s not just a pretty picture. It also isn’t a doodle conjured up in Photoshop with a retrospectively-applied rationale (at least not if you hire someone who knows what they’re doing).
What a logo is: It’s the first piece of the puzzle that fits in with an overall strategy of how you intend to market your business. It can be a very simple element that works in tandem with other imagery or text, or it can be a complex graphic that illustrates what you do or what you sell, or evokes an intellectual or emotional response.
So, simply put, a logo is an idea. It’s a well thought-out concept that represents your business.
For the DIY enthusiasts out there, that means you have a well considered idea and plan before you even pick up the sketchpad, let alone Photoshop!
For anyone buying design, the next question you need to ask is: How much would it cost to put that amount of work into making my project unique, interesting and effective?
